1. For those who read my training recap on Monday, I’m happy to report that my saddle sore is gone after a couple of days keeping pressure off it. I rode my [hybrid] bike in to work this morning without any discomfort. Phew! Looking forward to picking up my Speed Concept from the shop (tune up) this weekend.
2. I was lucky enough to receive this luscious box of goodies from Clif the other day. This is definitely going to come in handy with a couple of big races coming up. I’ve always liked the Bloks (although these are some new-to-me flavours to try), but generally stick with Gu gels. I’m excited to try these out! What’s your favourite gel?
3. It’s [almost] Labour Day Weekend! The timing is excellent since I’m tapering for Muskoka 70.3 next weekend, which means my days won’t be filled with hours upon hours of training. Whatever shall I do with my time??
BONUS! This is what Miles does in the morning when he realizes that it’s almost time for me to leave. He makes every attempt to make me stay home and he is very convincing! Do you know how hard it is to get out of the house for work?! He tugs on my heart strings, that’s for sure.
