Monday Madness

After seeing the above message earlier this afternoon upon attempting to access my blog, followed by a message stating that my account had been “disabled” when I tried to login, I have spent the last few hours panicking and wanting to cry and/or puke and/or scream at the thought of losing all of my posts. There was absolutely no notice or explanation for any of this. Thankfully, after a nightmare of a process, everything has been restored, although I still have no idea what the issue was.

So now it’s time to switch to WordPress. I hope you’ll follow me! Stay tuned.

P.S. Race report from my pace bunny gig to follow soon!

  1. oh no!! I would so switch but I have no idea how to do any of that stuff! On another note – my running buddy and I were talking about running the mississauga marathon in the spring….

  2. Oh my gosh! That is a scary thought. Did the Blogger folks help you out?If you do switch to WordPress I would love to see a post about it.Have been thinking that way myself.

  3. I hate blogger, I just know some that have moved over and lost a lot of crap so I'm a little worried. I'll see how it works for you first! 🙂

  4. Welcome to the dark side…..ha!Got you converted to triathlon, now wordpress, you wake up before the sun hits the snooze button……you are the female canadian version of me……good luck with that thought process……ha!

  5. Pretty easy to migrate over to WordPress from blogger. One danger is your posts, through your long history of your blog, could lose some search ranking or its Google Juice.. But that's geeky tech talk. This is partly why I made a book a few years ago with my favourite posts. I think probably this is a good reminder I need to work on volume 2.

  6. Marlene–Yes, go for it! I have really loved WP since making the switch. One thing that I did that was really helpful was switching over my Google Friends Connect (there's a plug in for this). It automatically brought over the majority of my followers b/c most are on blogger. Good luck with it and let me know if you have any questions. I might be able to help! ; )

  7. I'm glad you're moving to WordPress, I use it too. I have so many errors with Blogger when I try to comment, it's irritating sometimes. So no worries: I'll follow you.

  8. Oooofff…that's scary. My concern with WP is how 'difficult' it will be to post as I love LiveWriter but blogger is making me mad of late…

  9. 😦 Sorry to hear that — but I think you will like wordpress. I found the switch to be easy peasy and I'm not very techy.

  10. Umm. What's in it for me? First you need to have a giveaway where you will fly down and manually update the winner's rss feed and all. You expect me to DIY?!? Sheesh!

  11. Oh no!! so glad you didn't lose everything!!! Whew!!I'll be curious to see how your switch to wordpress goes. I've been thinking about it myself.
